343 Admits Halo Infinite Season 2 Launch Was “Bumpy” Working On Fixes

343 Industries responded to the backlash surrounding Halo Infinite Season 2, admitting the launch was “bumpy” but assuring fans they’re listening to feedback and “looking at options.”

Halo Infinite players cannot take a break. After facing one disappointment after another, they hoped the Season 2 Lone Wolves update would turn the tide and potentially save the game’s player base from further dwindling.

However, that was not the case – at least not according to the community at large. Many were outraged by the changes in weapons and movement. Nick ‘NICKMERCS’ Kolcheff also criticized the developers for being “horrible”.

Joseph Staten, the head of Creative for Halo Infinite, admitted that the Season 2 launch was “bumpy” and talked about how the team plans to make it right by taking all the feedback on board.

Most Halo Infinite players seem united in their disappointment.

“Hey Spartans, this week has been bumpy,” he said. “That was certainly not our goal. We do indeed take your feedback to heart, especially regarding card jumps and speedrunning. We are looking at the options and will come with more news.”

Staten also assured players that he and the other developers take all constructive criticism to heart. I read them all in this thread. So keep the constructive feedback coming.”

More than 500 players responded to his tweet, with many suggesting ways to improve the game. Some were concerned about the removal of skill jumps and slideswhile others focused on more niche stuff like balancing thrusters.

The developers have a lot to do to satisfy the player base. In addition, there is no guarantee that this will save the game from its downward spiral. Despite that, they are still committed to improving it.
