AMD B650E “Extreme” Chipset Confirmed

AMD’s Ryzen 7000 series processor launch is just around the corner. With this we have the new AM5 platform that will enable new technologies and protocols. You get both DDR5 memory support and PCI-Express 5.0. When AMD first announced the AM5 platform, they announced X670E, X670 and B650 chipsets, but it looks like there will also be a B650E “Extreme” chipset.

The regular X670 and B650 chipset supports either a PCIe 5.0 GPU or a PCIe 5.0 M.2 NVIMe SSD. Now with X670E and B650E, users get both PCIe 5.0 connectivity for their GPU and M.2 NVIMe SSD.
