AMD Radeon RX 6900 XT now retails for $649 as RDNA 3 launch approaches

AMD will launch their next-generation RDNA 3 graphics cards on November 3rd, which is a few weeks away. Their high-end graphics card, which launched a year ago, the Radeon RX 6900 XT, has dropped in price to under $700 prior to its launch on November 3.

This price cut isn’t actually from AMD, but rather is a store-specific price cut. We saw this for NVIDIA’s high-end RTX 30-series SKUs prior to the RTX 40-series launch and now we’re seeing the same from AMD. You can see how prices have fallen in the two charts below. Some cards are over $1000 cheaper than they were in January this year!

Right now XFX has two Radeon RX 6900 XT models that cost less than $700! The first is the Radeon RX 6900 XT Speedster SWFT319 which costs $649.99 and then there is the Radeon RX 6900 XT Speedster MERC319 which costs $699.99.

Going to Newegg, we can find the ASRock Radeon RX 6900 XT PHANTOM GAMING D for just $669.99!

Prices are also falling in Europe, with the lowest available price for a Radeon RX 6900 XT being EUR 736, which is about EUR 250 cheaper than at the beginning of September and more than EUR 1000 less than in January.
