If you’re looking for technical examples from AMD and Intel, Alibaba’s Goofish is definitely the first place to look. This platform has been used in the past to sell some processors, but they remain useful to a very small group.
Apparently there is also a Ryzen 5 7600X sample for sale now. The seller has only provided some basic information about the CPU such as the 4.4 GHz base clock. This is slightly lower than the CPU’s 4.7GHz clock speed, which is 6-core and is expected to reach boost clocks of 5.3GHz in store form.
A few days ago, we came across the retail version of Ryzen 7 7700X 8-core CPU. This one most likely came with fewer bugs and also offered the latest specs. This example does not contain a SKU name, but the OPN code is 100-000000593-20. The first store listing confirmed it to be the 7600X SKU.
The price quoted is 9999 RMB (over USD 1456), but this is just the advertised price as the seller has asked for direct contact before buying, which means the actual price will be disclosed then.
These sources are almost always not reliable and so we do not recommend buying this processor.
There’s only a week left before the new series is officially launched and the store opens in a month, so it makes all the more sense to wait until then. Even if you bought this CPU now, it wouldn’t make sense without the new socket, as there are no AM5 motherboards available yet. Even if you don’t care much about this, the fact that this CPU is being sold illegally should be enough to deter you from buying it.
