Disney Dreamlight Valley has had a few bumps during its early access period on consoles, but a recent poll on animal companions may help ease anxious players’ concerns.
Disney Dreamlight Valley has been out for almost a month now and fans have experienced waves of emotion while playing the early access games. While farming and exploration are easy to sink into, the loss of save progress and hiccups with quests have also left players frustrated.
Fortunately, Gameloft has been transparent about any issues that have surfaced. This includes notifying players when the servers went down on October 4, 2022, as well as providing detailed roadmaps for future updates.
This fan-favorable communication structure has been seen again in a recent poll, where Disney Dreamlight Valley developers teased a possible future update, sparking excitement among the player base.
Disney Dreamlight Valley posts a poll about animal lovers
In a recent Twitter poll shared on the DisneyDLV account, fans were asked, “Would you like to be able to communicate with your animal friends?”
This teaser is exciting as it potentially teases a big new feature for the currently missing animal friends that players can recruit or earn as they play.
While “Yes” is the only answer to this poll, it seems perfectly accurate. Disney Dreamlight Valley players in the comments have all expressed an overwhelming desire to see interaction with animal friends as part of an upcoming update.
One player speculates about what these interactions might be, saying, “Give critters a command to harvest/water crops! He IS an IncrediSquirrel, isn’t he?! I’ll settle for a pet animation.”
Another added: “I want to pet them, brush them and dress them plz. I would love to have a matching outfit with my little fox, it would be so cute. Imagine putting mickey ears on the raccoon, ahhh. ‘
Currently, there are a limited number of animal friends in Disney Dreamlight Valley, including Pua the pig from Moana, IncrediSquirrel, and many of the critters that roam the overworld in various biomes.
