Gifting may finally be coming to Apex Legends in Season 15 after a data miner managed to discover some of the in-game logos used for it.
In recent months, many leaks have surfaced for Apex Legends, revealing the next few legends, weapons, a new map, and even a slew of new features.
Many of these leaks have proved correct – since we now have Vantage as a legend, there is a Gun Game style limited time mode and new animations for healing.
The ability to gift items, which has been in other Battle Royales like Fortnite for a while, was also confirmed as in the works by Respawn a few seasons ago, but has yet to appear in Apex Legends. But that may change once Season 15 rolls around.
Gifts can finally come in Apex Legends Season 15
That’s right, the long-awaited gift feature may be coming to the game soon, as YouTuber Garrett has managed to discover some of the icons Respawn will be using for it in-game.
“Looks like it’s coming next season,” the YouTuber said in his September 25 video. “When I was doing a bit of data mining, I found this file. After asking a few people, it’s the gifts icon. This seems to be what you’ll see when you receive a gift, so show that it’s already in the files are huge, plus, there’s a news tab with a notification on it.
The YouTuber created a little mock-up of what things might look like in-game once you’ve received a gift from a friend, and it’s pretty much what you’d think Respawn could come up with.
Since the icons are in the files, it looks like Respawn is all set to launch it into the game, but it hasn’t been confirmed for Season 15 yet.
The new season won’t start until early November, so we won’t know what new things come with the update until the end of October. So for now, we’ll just have to take it easy.
