Created by Slate Narrative, the podcast series focuses on the “Roe v. Wade” case in the final season. Susan Matthews, editor-in-chief of Slate, recounted the events leading up to the 1973 Supreme Court decision.

The series, which is divided into four parts, was launched in June and was awarded for its ‘impact, innovation and outstanding quality’.

The award features the Apple Podcasts logo on the front, as well as the title “Show of the Year” and the name of the podcast (Slow Burn Roe v. Wade). Below that is the year the award was presented, all within a concentric circle design.

The award itself is made from 100 percent recycled aluminum and is the same award given to developers who won the App Store Awards for 2022.
