Apple company employees don’t have to wear face masks now

Apple company employees can now choose whether to wear a face mask or not while working in the office.

The Cupertino-based company has informed its employees that they are no longer required to wear a face mask. The mask mandate has been lifted, “in light of certain circumstances” according to the internal memo. The email also said the mandate will be dropped in “most locations,” although there is no specific office location or area where employees are required to wear masks.

The email reminds employees that they can still wear a face mask if they feel more comfortable. Furthermore, the note states that individual decisions must be respected with regard to whether or not to wear a mask.

Apple dropped its retail and corporate mask mandate in March as COVID-19 cases started a downward trend. However, it was briefly reinstated on both fronts when things started to pick up again.
