Analyst Ming Chi Kuo said smartphone components produced by SG Micro have passed the quality certification, which means the company will contribute to the production of iPhone 14 models. Kuo went on to say that SG Micro will make the PMIC, or integrated power management circuitry, for Apple’s upcoming flagship phone in the second half of 2022.

SG Micro will supply the components for Apple for the first time. Kuo believes the Cupertino-based company will pursue the deal to meet future supply chain requirements and risks. The analyst added that memory suppliers and panel suppliers for the iPhone 14 have had problems with delivery, but will generally not affect mass production.

The upcoming iPhone 14 is believed to have new updates, with advanced features such as an always-on display, pill sensor and punch cutouts, and the A16 processor.
