Apple Music announces ‘Sing’ feature for karaoke-like experience

Apple Music has unveiled a new feature for its streaming service, Apple Music Sing, that allows users to sing along to their favorite songs. The feature offers real-time lyrics, customizable vocals, backing vocals, and a duet view, allowing multiple vocalists to appear on screen at the same time.

Apple Music’s Sing feature will be available this month as part of a free update to existing subscribers and will be accessible on 2022 iPhone, iPad, and Apple TV 4K devices. In addition, Apple Music is launching 50 new playlists featuring “all the epic songs, anthems , choruses and duets that have forced people to sing’.

The lyrics in the Sing feature automatically adjust to the rhythm of the song, while the vocals can be individually animated for easier tracking. In addition, users can adjust the song’s vocals to be a minus one for practicing and jamming with friends. Finally, duet view shows two vocalists on opposite sides of the screen so that both parties can sing along.

Apple Music is available for $9.99 per month, which includes the Sing feature at no extra cost. With this announcement, Apple Music aims to engage more users in music streaming and create an exciting new way for users to enjoy their favorite songs.
