Apple publishes list of winners of ‘Shot on iPhone’ macro challenges

Ten winners have been selected for Apple’s ongoing ‘Shot on iPhone’ Macro Challenge.

Apple started accepting submissions for its macro challenge in January. The event ended on February 16 and the entries were judged by an international jury. With the ‘Shot on iPhone’ challenge, users took photos on their iPhone 13 Pro Max and iPhone 13 Pro devices.

The Cupertino-based company said the photos were chosen for their demonstration of macro photography and ability to “turn the ordinary into the extraordinary” and “capture small things in a big way.”

Apple went on to say that the winning photos included often-overlooked shots, such as a strawberry in soda water, a hibiscus flower, snowflakes on a dog and water droplets on a spider’s web.

Four of the finalists came from the US, specifically Boston, San Francisco, New York and New Jersey, while the others came from Thailand, Spain, Italy, India, China, Hungary and Argentina.

The work of the ten winners will be published online, in the Apple Store and on billboards.
