According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, Apple’s mixed reality headset will arrive ahead of this year’s WWDC event.
The AR/VR headset would be called ‘Reality Pro’. According to Gurman in his Power On newsletter, Apple will unveil the product at a spring event and before the Worldwide Developers Conference, usually held in the month of June. The Bloomberg analyst went on to say that Apple is looking to introduce Reality Pro in January 2023, with shipping at a later date.
The timing of the launch is for developers to ‘keep up to date’ with the software features. In connection with this, Apple will ship the AR/VR headset during the fall season.
Apple is working with several high-profile developers, says Gurman, to bring apps and experiences to the new headset. Reality Pro is aimed at developers and professionals, with a more customer-friendly product in the works.
