iPhone users can now visit a nearby Apple Store to get their device repaired if it reboots unexpectedly and at random times.
Authorized Apple Service Providers and Apple Stores have received a new diagnostic tool to check for and fix ‘unexpected restart issues’. Store employees and authorized service personnel can use the tool and see if the device has rebooted unexpectedly for 14 days.
If the diagnostic tool and system check shows that the iPhone is rebooting, Apple technicians should proceed with the hardware repair. However, if the iPhone passes the diagnostic scan, the technicians are advised to walk the customer through software and hardware support documents.
With the newly introduced diagnostic tool, Apple technicians can quickly determine if the iPhone reboots unexpectedly instead of having to manually view analysis logs or restore the device. The ‘System Stability’ equipment is part of the company’s Service Toolkit 2.
