Asmongold praised Blizzard for nailing the World of Warcraft Dragonflight expansion reveal, claiming they said everything he wanted to hear and more, though he’s skeptical about one thing.
Blizzard finally unveiled the World of Warcraft Dragonflight expansion on April 19. The long presentation delved into all the details. In addition, players can already sign up to sign up for the beta.
Asmon watched the presentation on stream and reacted to it along the way before finally giving a verdict.
Not only did he point out individual things he liked, but he also praised the general reveal.
“Holy f**k, man. Oh my God. I can’t even keep up with all this,” he said enthusiastically immediately after seeing the unveiling. “This is insane. In general, this is f**king badass. Just in general, this is f**king badass.”
First, he praised the new race and class combination. “It’s such a brave move to add a whole new race and narrow it down to one class. If they want to do that, I’m all for it. The new dragon characters look f**king badass.”
He then followed suit with the new dragon riding feature. “I’m so glad they’re doing this,” he said. “Remember when I told them to do this with Alliance and Horde with a base horse and a base wolf? Now they do it where everyone gets a basic dragon!”
Finally, he gave his opinion on enlargement in a broader sense. “I feel like there’s nothing they could have said better than what they did say. I’m not sure what else I would expect to hear or see.”
He elaborated on it, saying, “I think this is all right. All they said were things I wanted. There’s nothing they mentioned that made me feel like, oh, this isn’t so great.”
However, he admitted that the jury is still out on one position. “I’m skeptical about the quality system and the craftsmanship. I don’t know how that will go. I’m not sure about it. But I’m happy to see them trying ideas. I think that’s what it comes down to.”
One thing that was not revealed in the presentation was when the World of Warcraft Dragonflight expansion would be released. Blizzard previously said it would be released sometime in 2022, but that has not been confirmed.
But that doesn’t change the fact that Asmon likes what he’s seeing so far, and once he gets his teeth into it during the beta, he’ll refine his opinion even more – for better or for worse, depending on how things progress.
