Boot Camp gets update for Wi-Fi bug fixes and improvements

A new version of Boot Camp is now available, with several improvements and bug fixes for Bluetooth and WiFi drivers.

WiFi bug fixes

Boot Camp is a type of software that allows Windows to run on Macs with Intel chips. Version 6.1.16 and release notes say the Bluetooth driver issue that occurs when waking from sleep or sleep has been resolved. WPA3 support has also been improved and should stabilize WiFi and Bluetooth connections.

Prior to v6.1.16, the latest patch allowed Studio Display users to run a Windows system on their Intel-based Mac computers. Boot Camp users can go to the Start menu within the Windows platform and then open the Software Update app to access and download the latest patch.

It’s worth noting that Boot Camp is only available for Intel chips and not for Silicon Macs. These machines can only run Windows if virtualization software is used.
