Can AMD Unveil the Ryzen 7000X3D Series at CES 2023?

With AMD’s official announcement of the Ryzen 7000 series, only 4 chips will be launched initially. We do know that AMD has been working on a variant of the “Zen 4” CPU complex die (CCD) with 3D Vertical Cache (3DV cache) memory, with AMD confirming that this technology is still part of the company’s customer roadmap. . According to the latest rumors, the first Ryzen 7000X3D processors could be unveiled in January at CES 2023.

From what we’ve seen from leaks, it looks like the Ryzen 7000 series will beat Intel’s 12th Gen Core “Alder Lake” parts in gaming, but it could pack a punch with the upcoming 13th Gen “Raptor Lake” parts. So launching the 3DV cache parts after Intel launched Raptor Lake makes sense and would give AMD a competitive edge in gaming.

According to noted AMD leaker Greymon55, there could be three Ryzen 7000X3D SKUs: the Ryzen 7 7800X3D (8-core/16-thread) above the 7700X; the Ryzen 9 7900X3D (12-core/24-thread), and the Ryzen 9 7950X3D (16-core/32-thread).
