Cook insists Apple take over Manchester United

A report from the UK says Tim Cook is determined to buy the Manchester United football team.

The Daily Star tabloid publication recently published an article stating that Apple may be extending a $6.9 billion deal to acquire one of the UK’s most successful sports teams. The football team’s current owners, the Glazers, have set the bar at $9.9 billion or to the highest bidder.

Apple is looking for a contender for the deal and is already in talks to make it happen, according to the Daily Star. It is said that Cook would push through the potential of Manchester United’s possession and what it would bring to the company. The publication went on to say that Apple may be funding a new stadium as Old Trafford is in a state of disrepair.

Sources of the report have not been named and neither Manchester United nor Apple have commented on the sale.
