Apple CEO Tim Cook was seen at South Shore Hospital meeting people injured in the car crash at the Hingham Store.
Allen Smith, CEO and president of South Shore Health confirmed Cook and O’Brien’s visit to the healthcare facility, saying the visit “has done so much to lift the spirits of patients and our colleagues.”
The SUV driver, Bradley Rein, is currently facing charges after his vehicle crashed through the store. The incident killed construction worker Kevin Bradley and injured 20 others. The South Shore facility had 20 patients, ten of whom were discharged on Tuesday. Sources say Cook met with Apple Store employees.
The Apple Store in Hingham is currently under barriers, the Debry Street stores are boarded up and there is no word on when it will reopen. The Apple Boylston location is considered the largest US Apple store and a flagship store in the city of Massachusetts.
