Apple CEO Tim Cook talked about the application of augmented reality during his trip to Europe.

Cook Talks

Cook mentioned in his Bright interview how AR is important with regard to the future and said how the deep technology “will affect everything.” He then outlined applications, such as demonstrating and training with AR elements, or in the medical field. In a similar vein, Apple’s CEO said that virtual reality is more limited and should not encompass an individual’s entire life, as most metaverse enthusiasts believe.

Currently, Apple has introduced several kits to help developers work with augmented reality. The Cupertino-based company is rumored to be launching a new AR/VR product soon. As for Apple’s headsets, the products could be unveiled as early as 2023 and offer augmented and virtual reality elements.

Tim Cook is currently on a European tour to visit Apple Stores and receive an Honorary Doctorate in Innovation and International Management from Federico II University.
