EK, the premium liquid cooling manufacturer, introduces the ultimate water cooling solution for Intel Arc A750 and A770 graphics cards. These new Intel GPUs get a premium Vector² waterblock solution with a passive backplane. The EK-Quantum Vector² ARC A750/A770 are liquid cooling solutions in one package, consisting of a Vector² series waterblock and a black anodized aluminum backplate. The aesthetic is dominated by minimalistic straight lines and the back plate that wraps around the side of the GPU to completely cover the PCB.
The Vector² cooling motor combines the jet plate with a 3D machined Plexi insert to improve power distribution and thermal performance. This cooling engine is based on an Open Split-Flow cooling engine design, which proved to be a superior solution for GPU waterblocks. It is characterized by a low hydraulic flow limitation, which means it can be used with weaker water pumps or pumps running at low speed and still deliver top performance. EK has taken great care to achieve a symmetrical power domain by using an internal bridge to secondary components. This was done to ensure secondary component cooling without sacrificing power distribution across the GPU core.
All Vector² GPU waterblocks use an 11mm thick copper heatsink with a direct attach acetal connection and a robust design with a single top O-ring. This simple construction ensures confidence during customization and maintenance. The Arc waterblock features a black anodized aluminum backplate and a base that is CNC machined from nickel plated electrolytic copper. The D-RGB LED lighting is deployed on the longest edge of the water block for improved uniformity and clarity. The circuit board and diodes are hidden in a clean aluminum extrusion.
Tactile magnetic covers are used to hide the terminal screws, allowing the badge to rotate when the GPU is inverted in the case.
These GPU waterblocks have a specific cutout that allows the use of the included multifunction tool for disconnecting the PCIe protection on the motherboard and easily disconnecting the GPU. The same tool can also be used to more easily disconnect the power cable and tighten the spacers.
EK-Quantum Vector² backplate
Each Vector² waterblock comes with a CNC machined black anodized backplate. Captive nickel plated mounting screws are included to replace the original black screws. The backplate has a new L-shaped profile that contacts the base of the waterblock and encloses the entire GPU while increasing the cooling surface. This connection between the backplate and the waterblock further enhances performance by increasing heat transfer efficiency.
Captive backplate screws simplify installation and ensure that the correct length is always used where necessary to avoid user error and doubt.
