Hybrid. It’s a word you hear a lot in the automotive industry, and it usually means a combination of two propulsion methods brought together in one car. In this review, we look at a hybrid for the gaming industry. The EPOS H3PRO Hybrid brings multiple connectivity options together in one headset, giving all PC, Mac and console gamers access to some great features. Multiple wired and wireless options can be found on the H3PRO Hybrid, as well as active noise cancellation, a removable microphone and more. Follow along as we explore the EPOS H3PRO Hybrid.

The box for the H3PRO Hybrid has a matte black finish and a very high quality appearance. A very tasteful, angled look at the headset is prominent on the front of the box, and there’s nothing flashy or over the top about this packaging, which is a nice change from some of the other brands that have their designs in your face.
On the back is another subtle image of the headset, along with a bit of marketing text that talks about the quality materials used in making the H3PRO Hybrid, and how it can improve the user experience. There are also some feature callouts around the image, but no real specs can be found on the box itself.
Included with the EPOS H3Pro Hybrid are quite a few accessories that lend themselves to the multiple connectivity options, as well as some informative papers to get you started. Three cables are provided for wired connectivity options, and each has its own unique purpose. The 1.5m 3.5mm braided cable allows the H3PRO Hybrid to connect to mobile devices, mobile consoles and other 3.5mm audio sources, while the 2m USB Type-A to Type-C cable is provided for use with USB-connected devices, and for charging the internal battery. A USB Type-A extension cable is also included to route the USB cable far enough to your device. Unfortunately none of the USB cables are braided like the 3.5mm cable, which would have been a nice touch. In addition, there is a small USB Type-A dongle for wireless connection to your host device, as well as a small disk used to cover the hole for the removable microphone boom.
