While Valorant Agent 20 has yet to be officially unveiled, early teasers and reported leaks have already surfaced online. Here’s everything we know about the new character, supposedly called ‘Fade’, coming soon in Riot’s tactical shooter.
As Riot Games’ flagship FPS, Valorant, continues to thrive and expand its roster of agents, all eyes are on the future additions to the ongoing battle between Earth and its mysterious mirror companion, Earth 2.
With the feisty speed demon Neon the last character to go into battle, players are already speculating who’s next on the list. This will be the 19th playable character in Valorant, but is officially Agent 20 because Agent 8 is a mystery.
So here’s everything we know about Valorant’s next agent; from current rumors to a possible release date.
Valorant Agent 20: Rumors & Leaks
Before going any further, keep in mind that there is quite a long-running mystery about Agent 8† Being part of the plans for the game’s initial release, the Agent has yet to see the light of day. Nevertheless, Riot made sure to leave the eighth slot open without going into further detail.
This has caused quite a bit of confusion in the numbering of both existing and emerging agents. For example, despite being the eighteenth Agent in the game, according to Riot . Neon’s Agent number is 19† Likewise, it is highly anticipated that the upcoming nineteenth Agent could very well be Officer 20 according to Riot.
As the sassy speedster races through the city’s neon-filled streets, we see her running past an ad promoting a musician named “Victoria Vector,” a blue-haired cyberpunk character who looks like she’s just out of CD Projekt Red’s Cyberpunk 2077. walked.
Renowned lore enthusiast Cynprel was quick to dig, noting that “a quick Google search turns up nothing on ‘Victoria Vector'”. To many, the ad appears to be a hint to the next agent we’ll see heading to Future Earth.

Victoria also appears on the Undercity skin bundle, whose 3D style envelops this colorful city in cosmetic form. This means that even if Victoria doesn’t make it into the game as a playable character, she can still play a pivotal role in Valorant’s storyline.
A ‘State of the Agents’ developer update on March 28 didn’t say much about the identity of the next agent, but we did get some important clues.
The most obvious was the line “Herkesin bir korkusu var” at the very end, which is Turkish for “everyone has fear”. This means that the next Valorant Agent could come from Turkey.

Just hours after the March 28 blog post and arguably the biggest leak yet spread across social media. A full list of reported skills has appeared on the web and you can find the full breakdown below.
A few weeks after the leak, on April 12, Valorant tweeted a short video depicting Cypher trapped in dark wisps of fear, possibly a representation of the “Seize” ability depicted in the March 28 leak.
Aside from the leaks that have surfaced so far, there are several audio cues that can be heard while exploring the Range.
Based on the noises heard, as well as the physical ads found, it’s very likely that the upcoming Agent will wield fear to their advantage. To top it off, you can also see a strange shape appear on the ground after interacting with the closed door in the Range.

In addition, the fact that Riot’s physical ads for the prospective agent were seen in Turkey also leads us to believe that the prospective agent could be based in Turkey. After all, we haven’t seen a Turkish agent in Valorant yet.
With the latest leaks came an alleged name for the would-be cop. Valorant’s next initiator is called ‘Fade’, according to ValorLeaks† An apparently leaked description for the character is as follows:
“Bury your fears, or she’ll hunt for them. Fade, Valorant’s new Turkish agent, pursues her prey with equal terror and tactics. Go ahead, try to hide.
While it didn’t give us much background, the March State of the Agents report gave us a good idea of what this unknown character will bring to the table in terms of skills.
Valorant Character Producer John Goscicki said Riot developers have been toying with the idea of adding another Initiator like Sova.
“The idea of another agent revolving around the intelligence-gathering aspect of the tactical loop has been on our minds for a while,” Goscicki wrote. “This next agent should give you a more… intimate feeling when hunting enemies. Of course there is our theme.”
We also saw a lot of references to “fear” in the update, along with the line in Turkish above, Goscicki said he was “afraid” of giving away too many details as well. This could mean Agent 20 will use some sort of fear mechanism, but it’s too early to say for sure.
Following this official information, a leaked screenshot may have revealed the full list of capabilities for Agent 20. While it’s not certain whether this kit is right, below is a supposed look at what the next character brings for Valorant.

Looks like Riot is putting up physical ads for the new agent in Turkey!
“Çok Yakında” means “very soon” // “very close”
— Cynprel – VALORANT Lore (@cynprel) Apr 13, 2022
In the past a new act always meant a new card or agent but in the case of Valorant Episode 2 Act 4 it meant will not being the case. However, fans have seen physical advertisements from Riot for the upcoming Agent in Turkey. The ads read “ok Yakında” which roughly translates to “Very fast‘ or ‘very close†
That said, Riot has confirmed that there won’t be any new major content in the next law, focusing instead on improving “the health of our game.”
Therefore, if we expect Victoria in the future, she will probably accompany too 3rd company (although a card is more likely), or the next episode launch.
