FIFA 23 FUT Heroes List

EA SPORTS is expected to bring back all of last year’s players in FUT Heroes, as well as additional names, likely to be announced in July/August.

We’ve already seen three Premier League favourites, and many more are likely to follow.

The following cards are expected to appear in FIFA 23:

What are FUT Hero Cards?

FUT Hero cards are rare items available in Ultimate Team and are given to cult heroes and borderline legends of the past. They were added for the first time in FIFA 22, with names like Diego Milito, Abedi Pele and Fernando Morientes.

These have similar stats to their previous basemaps in past games – and can be upgraded throughout the year.

FIFA 23 FUT Hero Card Leaks

John Arne Riise – Premier League

On June 4, leaker FutBull revealed the first Hero card to be added to the mix: Liverpool’s John Arne Riise.

The Norwegian fullback scored some scorching goals for the Reds and was instrumental in the Anfield club’s fifth European Cup win. Although Riise actually missed his penalty in the 2005 shootout against AC Milan, his celebrations will be long remembered.

Peter Crouch – Premier League

on June 10, FifaTradingRomania and Fut Sheriff have shared that Peter Crouch is joining the Heroes lineup. The six-foot goalkeeper is a cult figure in English football, having scored 108 Premier League goals and brought robotic dance back into fashion.

Lucio – Serie A

on June 9 Fut Sheriff claimed Lucio will be a hero card in FIFA 23. In 2010, Lucio was part of a three-time winning Inter Milan squad that defeated his former club Bayern Munich 2-0 in the Champions League final.

Javier Mascherano – La Liga Santander

The same leaker then posted on August 3 that Barcelona favorite Javier Mascherano will appear. The Argentine has won five league titles in Spain and has built a reputation as one of the most ferocious midfielders in the world.

It’s worth noting that leaks can come from accurate and inaccurate sources, so while these give an indication of who might be included in the FIFA 23 Hero set, take it with a grain of salt until rumors are confirmed.

How to get free FUT Hero cards

It is expected that a promotional FUT Hero card is available for FIFA 23 pre-orders, if placed before the deadline. This would mirror the Ultimate Edition offering in the previous game, as well as Ones to Watch cards for some players.

These free cards are released in Dec 2022, if the timetable is maintained.

In addition, FUT Hero Squad Building Challenges will be rolled out throughout the game’s lifecycle, allowing FUT club owners to get their hands on a number of cult heroes. For example, last year there was a Player Pick SBC.

FIFA 23 FUT Hero x Marvel collab leaked?

Just after the first batch of FIFA 23 FUT Heroes was announced, rumors started circulating about a possible crossover with comic book legends Marvel. These were sparked by an image that surfaced and appeared to show the FIFA 23 and Marvel logos side by side.

It sparked rampant speculation about the possibility that superheroes like Iron Man, Captain America and Spider-Man would make a surprise appearance in Ultimate Team.

While it’s unlikely we’ll see The Incredible Hulk fly past the wings in FUT Champs, it does open the door to some interesting Tifos and cosmetics.

This is just a rumor for now, but if it turns out to be true, we can expect EA to make some serious noise about it as we prepare for the launch of FIFA 23.
