Intel is rolling out Arc GPUs while NVIDIA counts down to the unveiling of the GeForce RTX 40 series. Already made available for mobile and low-end desktops, the Arc Alchemist series is finally reaching the stage gamers have been waiting for most: the launch for mid-range and high-end desktops.
Gelsinger posed for a photo with the Arc A770 Limited Edition card, an Intel design that will also be on sale. Intel’s CEO has verified that the company is preparing the first production run of these cards for release, but an exact release date has not been specified.
There are now only four days left for Intel to fulfill its promise to release Arc A7 GPUs “after the summer” as the company has deliberately delayed the release of the Arc Alchemist desktop. However, it is quite unlikely that this date will happen.
Chances are, Intel will debut the GPU series at the Innovation event, which is just four days later, on September 27. In addition, the company’s 13th-generation Core desktop CPU series, Raptor Lake, will be launched on the same day.
