A recent statement from the Halo Infinite developer has convinced fans that a battle royale mode could be in production as the game seems to be inviting more players to its services.
Certain Affinity said they would work more closely with 343 Industries on the development of Infinite. It’s unclear what the studio will focus on, but the timing of the announcement couldn’t be more suspect for fans of the series.
“We have been part of the Halo franchise for over 15 years and we are honored to say that we are deepening our relationship with 343 and have entrusted the continued development of Halo Infinite in some new and exciting ways,” said Certain Affinity.
The language is unclear as to whether 343 will remain the game’s primary developer, but it’s clear that CA is preparing to make Halo Infinite a bigger priority in the studio.

This comes on the heels of popular streamers and the larger Halo community who are asking the developers to take a grand undertaking by implementing a battle royale mode.
Now people are including this as writing on the wall of Halo’s upcoming Battle Royale to help Infinite recoup its player base.
Maybe outsource the Halo Infinite: Battle Royale?!” said one user. Meanwhile, another person added, “Battle Royale or a new big innovative mode maybe?”
Since the massive launch of Infinite in late 2021, the number of active users of the game has skyrocketed as calls for critical updates and patch fixes mount.
Player complaints addressed Halo Infinite’s lack of multiplayer updates, rampant matchmaking bugs, the ranked mode, the game’s cosmetics, and much more.
The belief is that this recruits 343 CA into a Halo Infinite’s Battle Royale, similar to how Raven Software runs on Call of Duty’s Warzone.
