During FanExpo Boston, iconic Master Chief voice actor Steve Downes gave away a Grunt sticker that Halo Infinite players now want as their decal.
After a long delay, Halo Infinite finally launched on PC and Xbox late last year. The shooter received generally positive reviews at launch, although 343 and Microsoft came under fire for its multiplayer component.
Players voiced a lot of criticism for issues with the battle pass progress. Delays in updating the content later became a point of contention among the community.
However, some Halo fans are now claiming that all will be forgiven if the development team grants one request.
This Steve Downes sticker should become the Halo Infinite decal
While meeting with fans at FanExpo Boston, Master Chief himself, Steve Downes, handed out free stickers.
ZeekRageous took pictures of the pile of stickers on Downes’s table, but one in particular caught the attention of the community on Reddit.
The sticker in question shows a Halo Grunt with a bong, complete with smoke pouring out of it.
Other Redditors have claimed that the actor probably bought a pack of Halo stickers on Amazon without looking through them.
That seems to be the case, as that same Grunt is pictured in this 50-piece pack on Amazon.
“Yo 343, can we get that as a decal?” Trevor-On-Reddit asked in the thread. Several other Halo Infinite players agreed to say that they would also like to see Steve Downes’ sticker choice appear in the game. “I would forgive all their sins for this,” added Electronic-Cream9946.
Given Halo Infinite’s ‘T’ for Teen rating, others, such as ICODE72, questioned whether a bong decal would be allowed. Anyway, it looks like fans are all in on this version of the Grunt character type.
Halo Infinite is now available to play on PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S platforms.
