Leveling up your Battle Pass in Fortnite can sometimes seem like an eternity, especially as you get closer to Level 100 and those lit styles, but there are a few different ways to climb the ranks faster.
Chapter 3 Season 1 of Epic Games’ hit Battle Royale Fortnite has arrived, and there’s also an all-new Battle Pass. There are tons of new skins and cosmetics to unlock, including the highly anticipated Spider-Man and some great original characters.
Given the quality of the rewards on offer this season – and The Foundation skin coming soon – you’ll probably want to level up as soon as possible. But that can often seem difficult, especially if you’ve exhausted the traditional routes.
Here are some of the best ways to quickly level up in Fortnite Chapter 3 and unlock not only the default skins and cosmetics, but also the rare bonus styles that will be added to the Battle Pass later in the season.
1. Complete Weekly Seasonal Missions
Each week, Fortnite releases a set of nine seasonal missions for players to tackle. They each give a lot of XP when completed, so making your way through them all each week is without a doubt the best way to maximize your Battle Pass.
New weekly challenges usually come every Thursday at 6 p.m. PT | 9AM ET | 14:00 GMT and range from simple tasks such as catching fish or dealing damage with a particular weapon, to more difficult tasks such as finding hidden objects on the island.
You can find details of all current and upcoming Chapter 3 Season 1 Weekly Challenges here.
2. Don’t ignore those daily missions
While the weekly seasonal missions provide the biggest XP rewards, your daily missions are just as important. This refresh every day at 6AM PT | 9AM ET | 14:00 GMTand are usually quite easy (and quick) to fill out.
Just the first three daily missions you check off each day will give you a decent amount of XP. After this, the amount you get will be drastically reduced. This means it’s worth logging in for just 10 minutes each day to complete your daily missions.
3. Use Party Assist to complete challenges faster
One of the most useful features in Fortnite is the Party Assist function†
When playing with friends in Duos, Trios, or the best of all Squads, progress in completing qualifying weekly missions is shared between all players on the team.
This is especially helpful when tackling multi-level challenges. For example, if a quest asks you to take a total of 25 headshots, that could take up a quarter of the time it would normally take with your entire squad aiming for headshots.
4. Grind to Fortnite Milestones
Players will be happy to know that Milestones have returned in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 1. Most of these Milestones are minor tasks, such as driving a certain distance or destroying specific items.
As a result, you’ll probably check them off without realizing it during regular daily play, but it does help to know what they are. Fortunately, in Chapter 3 . you can view all your milestones in the quests menu†
Some of these milestones require you to use different weapons or items, so it’s worth swapping them out every now and then (even if that means trading your powerful shotgun for a pistol).
5. Level Up in Creative Mode
Believe it or not, you can easily get XP in Fortnite by simply entering the creative mode. Players are rewarded with 12,000 XP for every 15 minutes they spend on creative playlistsand up to five of these rewards can be collected each day.
In fact, after the Chapter 3 update, some experiences in Creative Mode have de Accolade Device enabled, meaning they offer the opportunity to earn XP by completing certain levels or achievements. Look for the XP logo next to a playlist.
6. Buy additional levels in the Fortnite Store
Nobody want to to buy levels in Fortnite – and you should be able to level up easily enough with the other methods on this list – but there’s no denying that it’s the fastest way to level up in just a few seconds.
There are often ‘bundles’ of levels which are cheaper in the long run than buying individual levels so make sure you check them out before purchasing another number of levels.
7. Get kills
While this may be a good idea, players are rewarded with XP when killing enemies in Fortnite. In addition, there is also a stacking bonus that exists for killing multiple enemies within one game.
It can be tempting to adopt a defensive playstyle in hopes of achieving a Victory Royale, but it’s also well worth going for those risky kills.
If you’re struggling with getting kills and improving in Fortnite, remember that practice makes perfect. The more firefights you engage in, the more knowledge you have about how to win the next one.
8. Get a Fortnite Victory Royale!
Perhaps the easiest way to earn XP is to just get it right in Fortnite’s Battle Royale mode.
You gain a small amount of XP for every elimination you dish out to a certain number, and you gradually earn more XP for each Storm cycle you survive.
You also get a certain amount of XP depending on where you place. Of course you get the most XP by coming first and scoring a coveted Victory Royale (300 XP), so practice, practice, practice and that all-important XP will be yours.
