TSM pro Philip ‘ImperialHal’ Dosen thinks Apex Legends season 14 is going to be “broken” – but in a good way. The Apex CEO has long called for Respawn to give everyone easy access to everything strong in the battle royale, and it’s being answered.
Apex Legends Season 14 will be released on August 9 and will mark a big wave of new content and changes. Included in the update are numerous weapon changes and the debut of a new legend, Vantage, who will evolve the game’s meta.
It is the first that makes ImperialHal enthusiastic. The Rampage and Bocek are included in the care package. The Volt and the G7 Scout are back on the ground. So are the Wingman and CAR SMG from the replicator.
The CEO of Apex thinks it’s broken, but in a good way: “Looks like the next season is turning into what I kind of wanted in Apex — where everything’s a little broken.”
“They put so many weapons on the ground that are sort of OP.”
It’s not just what is returned to soil loot. It’s also what Respawn puts away: “they put the dogs in the pack…who the hell is going to make a RE-45?”
There are some changes where Hal isn’t quite sold. Wingman’s ammo change to Sniper is controversial because “who is going to pick up the f**ck Sniper Ammo just for a Wingman, if they can just use a Charge Rifle?” The Skullpiercer hop-up could tip the scales, but the jury is out.
All in all, this is the update ImperialHal has long been asking for, and he can’t wait to see it in action.
“I think Apex would be insanely fun if everything was broken the way it was, instead of everything being nerfed. Looks like Apex is headed that way next season, from all the sh*t I’ve seen.”
