Intel NUC 12 “Serpent Canyon” is 63% faster than NUC 11 Enthusiast

Recent tests of Intel’s mini PC have been conducted by ETA Prime, a well-known company for its in-depth coverage of mini PCs, laptops and portable consoles. It couldn’t have been in better hands regarding such devices. The NUC 12 Enthusiast belongs to the Intel Alder Lake product series and has a Core i7-12700H processor with 14 cores and 20 threads. Companies often use this CPU in high-end gaming laptops. While the 12th Gen Core CPU is incredible, that’s not what sets this product apart. It is an Intel discrete GPU.

The frequency of the clock speed of the A770 M is higher than the stated 1650 MHz. The in-game frequency varies during the game between 1700 and 2000 MHz. It can play games at smooth 1440p resolution with medium or high settings and even run games at 4K with some resolution scaling enabled. Resolution scaling technology, such as XeSS, would significantly improve the quality of this product.

The NUC 12 achieves 10777 graphics points in 3DMark TimeSpy, which is 63% faster than its predecessor with GeForce RTX 2060 GPU. The NUC 12 Enthusiast is available now at some stores and is currently shipping. The price starts at about $1,699.
