iPhone 12 repair program expanded for devices with earphone sound problems

Apple’s service program for the iPhone 12 has been expanded to cover earphone sound issues.

The iPhone 12 service program was launched last August and states that a “small percentage” of iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 devices may experience sound problems due to a faulty earphone module or receiver. The failure of a component usually results in the iPhone not producing sound on phone calls.

Now, the Cupertino-based company has expanded the program for the same iPhone 12 models to cover those who may have the same problem. It is worth noting that the renewal is for a full year and covers worldwide units.

An Apple Authorized Service Provider or Apple can repair the defective iPhone 12 Pro or iPhone 12 free of charge. Those affected can start the process by going to the official Apple website. Apple says the program does not cover the iPhone 12 Pro Max and the iPhone 12 mini.
