Hollywood star Jason Momoa is set to star in a new Apple TV+ series.
‘Chief of War’ tells the story of Hawaii’s colonization and indigenous unification against an imminent threat. Apple has given the go-ahead for production of the show, meaning no pilot episode is needed.
Jason Momoa will be the writer, executive producer and actor on the 8-part series. He will co-create with Thomas Pa’a Sibbett, who is known for his work in ‘The Last Manhunt’ and ‘Braven’. Momoa is originally from Hawaii and is known for Apple TV+ ‘See’ and HBO’s ‘Game of Thrones’.
The actor will also be seen in the third season of the original Apple TV+ series ‘See’, where he plays the lead role.
Apple TV+ costs $4.99 per month and includes original content such as ‘Ted Lasso’, ‘CODA’ and ‘Greyhound’.
