Lead times iPhone SE 2022 extended

There are indications that there is strong demand for the new iPhone SE model as delivery times have been extended.

JP Morgan analyst Samik Chatterjee says delivery dates for the latest iPhone SE have been extended in multiple regions. As of March 18, the lead time for the Apple product is approximately 8 days.

The turnaround time in the US is the longest, with availability by March 29. This means that delivery has been extended by approximately 12 days for 35 percent of shipments. China has a turnaround time of 6 to 8 days, but it’s shorter than when the 2020 iPhone SE came out. This accounts for 20 percent of shipments.

In Germany and the UK, delivery times have been extended from 5 to 6 days. Chatterjee says Western Europe has a “modest expansion” compared to other geographic regions.

Chatterjee summarizes that lead date extensions may indicate greater than expected demand, and more data may be needed to determine logistics and delivery shifts.
