M2 MacBook Air with white notch to launch in September

We had heard reports of the 2022 MacBook Pro being at the top of the game, nothing less than the redesigned MacBook Pro models. Previous reports pointed to a launch in the second half of 2022, but we were still waiting for an exact timeline. Finally, the wait is coming to an end and we now know for sure that Apple will unveil the MacBook Air 2022 in September.

iDropNews is reporting some things about the M2 MacBook Air, but it hasn’t confirmed what color would be available at launch. LeaksApplePr, on the other hand, could have reliable information as it claims to have received a photo of the finished product, but unfortunately it cannot be made public right now. However, one specific information is available; the anonymous source claims the image resembles the renders previously made public. Rest assured, we won’t be surprised.

According to the latest information, the screen on the M2 MacBook Air will increase from 13.3 inches to 13.6 inches as the bezels are reduced. Unfortunately, this model does not support Face ID, which is quite a signature feature of Apple products. We’ll still keep our fingers crossed as Apple could bring this upgrade to some of its future models.

Aside from the Face ID, there are a few other features missing on the new model. As the cost of the M2 MacBook Air will come down, some compromises will have to be made. These come in the form of ditching the mini LED or ProMotion technology.
