Markiplier, one of the biggest YouTubers on the platform, just had his segment of the YouTube Game On livestream event removed without warning — and judging by his response, he’s not happy about it.
The YouTube Game On event was marketed as an event where in-stream chatters can make choices to determine the outcome of what happens in the stream.
Prompts would appear on the screen with choices for viewers to make, and depending on which choice the chat voted for, things would turn out differently during the stream.
Big names like Bella Poarch, Sykkuno and KSI took part in the event, along with a short Hot Ones segment. This was a huge livestream event involving a lot of creators, but someone was missing.
Where is Markiplier?
Markiplier was supposed to participate in this event and was even present in the marketing for the event which was put out by YouTube itself. However, fans of Markiplier noticed that his portion of the stream was a bit short.
After the event, Markiplier posted a tweet confirming that an entire segment he created for this stream was cut from the finished product.
And he wasn’t alone either. Markiplier teamed up with other YouTubers to put this event together, only to cut it.
Markiplier said his portion of the live stream was cut “without warning” and that he will upload it on his own YouTube channel instead.
A fan commented that Markiplier’s name was still in the timestamps for the video, along with the fact that the timestamps are generally out of order and completely inaccurate compared to the timings on stream.
The only time Markiplier appeared on the stream was a brief cameo around 1 hour 17 minutes into the live stream, which is a long way from his set timeslot.
Meanwhile, the main YouTube account posted a tweet below Mark’s announcement, telling his fans to come to the stream to see the content he created for it.
YouTube has not yet commented on the matter.
