The whole “gaming router” thing isn’t new. Many brands have had gaming routers for a while, but these are brands that are mostly known for routers, not gaming. Not long ago, ASUS entered the avid gaming router market with their Republic of Gamers (ROG) line, and I’ve been using their ROG Rapture GT-AX11000 for the past two years. MSI will now enter this market with their first enthusiast gaming router, the RadiX AXE6600. MSI already gave us a preview of the router in January, but the RadiX AXE6600 is a WiFi 6E router with 600 Mbps on the 2.4 GHz band, 1200 Mbps on the 5 GHz band and 4800 MHz on the 6 GHz band. band. It is also set up to have Ai QoS modes that intelligently read your network traffic and prioritize traffic for certain situations such as gaming, streaming and even working from home. No gaming router is complete without RGB lighting, which you get with the RadiX AXE6600 and a pretty aggressive design. Let’s jump in and see what this router is all about!
