MSI’s AMD AGESA 22.214.171.124 BIOS for X370, B350 and A320 motherboards has been officially released. These motherboards support Ryzen 7 5800X3D CPUs. This release is perfectly timed. Just a few weeks ago, MSI introduced the 126.96.36.199 BIOS support on the MEG X570 series motherboards and now, days later, we have the official announcement for these motherboards.
The press release stated: “AMD has announced great news about expanding its portfolio for system builds. The Ryzen 5000 series desktop processor now supports the oldest socket AM4 motherboards, including the X370, B350 and A320 chipset. This substantial improvement provides a seamless way to upgrade to “Zen 3” performance, including the AMD Ryzen™ 7 5800X3D with breakthrough AMD 3D V-Cache technology”.
If you want to take advantage of the Zen 3 processors while using the current 300 series motherboards, you need to update to the latest AMD AGESA COMBO PI V2 188.8.131.52 BIOS. As upgrade requirements increase, MSI has responded with the release of the 184.108.40.206 BIOS. This release starts this month with the MSI 300 series motherboards.
