MSI’s 11th Gen DIY Motherboard with Intel Tiger Lake CPUs for Professional Users

MSI’s Pro HM570TI-B I526 mini-ITX motherboard has just been released. It comes with Intel’s 11th generation Tiger Lake CPU for the PRO segment. The motherboard is designed with users in mind who want to work on a small form factor workstation that can provide the same energy efficiency as a laptop. With this Tiger Lake CPU from Intel, 6 cores are divided over 12 threads and have a boost clock speed of 4.4 GHz and a 45W TDP.

MSI’s new Tiger Lake motherboard is equipped with the HM570 chipset. It can support DDR4-3200 SODIMM memory up to 64 GB and also allows the use of up to two SATA storage device ports and a single M.2 Gen 4 x4 slot. The single M.2 slot also allows the use of wireless cards, which is useful in office environments. Moving on to the input and output, the new MSI Tiger Lake motherboard offers 4 USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports, 5 USB 2.0 ports, 1 serial port, one HDMI port, and two standard Ethernet and microphone/audio ports .

The cooling system has not yet come into the limelight. We can guess from the mounting holes and their spacing and it seems that the CPU can use LGA 1151/1200/1700 coolers. Short-height coolers are ideal if this motherboard is used in a smaller chassis.

The board’s power mainly comes from the power brick usually seen on mobile laptops and smaller systems that don’t have the space to house the power system. There doesn’t seem to be an option for expansion or graphics and users will have to make peace with the iGPU on the Intel Tiger Lake CPU. We are waiting for MSI to announce more details on availability and pricing.
