MultiVersus Season 1 Details: Battle Pass, New Characters, More

MultiVersus Season 1 will be the first official season and will mark the full release of the game. Despite the season being delayed, it promises new characters, a brand new battle pass and a wave of balance updates when it arrives. Here’s what you need to know.

As of now, MultiVersus is in open beta, marking Season 0 for the fighting game. The full release of the game is being marketed to come with Season 1, bringing a wealth of content.

From gameplay tweaks, new character releases, and a brand new battle pass, there’s plenty to look forward to. So here’s everything ready to launch during MultiVersus Season 1.

MultiVersus Season 1 release date

MultiVersus Season 1 was hit with some delays, causing it to no longer be on its original August 9 release date. But the delay should not exceed 2 weeks as the developers do not intend to extend the delay too long.

The speculated release date of MultiVersus Season 1 has been announced August 15, 2022. While not official, developers announced that the preseason battle pass would be extended until this date – thus making season 1 reason to start around that time.

The article will be updated with an official release date when more information becomes available.

New Characters in MultiVersus Season 1

As of now, Morty is the only officially revealed character for Season 1 – but plenty of other characters have leaked out, including his grandpa, Rick. Since the two always go hand in hand in their animated adventures, Rick will most likely join MultiVersus Season 1.

In addition, data mines revealed that Raven from Teen Titans has a unique voice line, talking to Eleven from Stranger Things. Therefore, these two characters may also launch on MultiVersus. But take the information with a grain of salt, as it is not from an official source.

Rick and Morty are coming to MultiVersus, with the latter slated for Season 1’s big content drop.

MultiVersus Season 1 Battle Pass

After August 15, the Pre-Season Battle Pass will expire and give way to the new MultiVersus Season 1 Battle Pass. According to the game director of MultiVersus, it will have 50 levels – that’s 35 more than the current 15 levels. This provides more rewards, but comes at a price.

The current Battle Pass costs 300 Gleamium, while the new MultiVersus Season 1 Battle Pass costs 950 Gleamium. These do cost real money in the form of microtransactions, so pay attention when purchasing.

MultiVersus Season 1 will no doubt also come with a wave of new balance changes. While no information on the specific balance patch notes has been revealed yet, in addition to bug fixes, you can expect updates targeting the most broken characters.

We’ll keep this piece updated with the latest information on MultiVersus Season 1 as it becomes public.
