This new indie horror game actively challenges you to pay it back if you can complete the entire game in less than two hours. But it’s not as easy as it sounds.
The brand new indie horror game, Refund Me If You Can, has been getting impressive attention on Steam and social media for one reason: it actively wants you to get your money back. That said, playing and completing the game in less than two hours is far from easy.
Refund Me If You Can, created by Sungame Studio, revolves around the main character, Sarah, who seems to be having a nightmare of being chased by a loud and undeniably deadly monster. Your task is to traverse the terrifying maze in search of an exit from this endless nightmare, and with over 100 different paths to choose from, the battle is real. Fortunately, you can put torches down to mark different routes, meaning you hopefully never have to go the same way twice.
There are two things that persuade players to dive into this short experience: the fact that they get their money back and that if you beat it within two hours, you get an achievement. Any achievement hunter won’t be able to resist trying this great indie horror game just for that particularly rare achievement. Money-wise, it’s only $3.99, so if you don’t get it done in two hours, it’s not the end of the world.
The premise of the game revolves around Steam’s refund policy, which typically states that if a game has been played for less than two hours, you can get your money back. After all, two hours is usually enough to get into a game. It has not been acknowledged whether Steam agrees with this policy loophole, but players and the creators seem to love the new challenge.
