NICKMERCS dove into Warzone 2 for the first time and left pleasantly surprised after a few days, despite some concerns.

NICKMERCS and his ALGS team, Tripods, failed to qualify for the Split 1 playoffs, but the downtime has seen him rediscover his passion for CoD. ALGS Split 2 doesn’t start until January, giving NICKMERKS plenty of time to explore Al Mazrah with friends.

Warzone 2 launched in November, but joining Apex forced Nick not to try out the battle royale sequel. TimTheTatman didn’t hesitate to roast Nick when he tried to relearn the ropes of Warzone a few months late.

Warzone 2 received mixed reviews from community members, but the experience pleasantly surprised NICKMERCS.

NICKMERCS shares the first impression of Warzone 2

In NICKMERCS’ latest YouTube video, he explained how he feels about Warzone 2.

“The game at its core is pretty good, but they added these bots and the backpack loot system. The core game and UI actually feel pretty good.

One of his main concerns concerns the implementation of AI enemies.

“I don’t know if I’m fighting a bot half the time. I don’t see how that’s not a problem.”

Nick also struggled adding backpacks and adjusting to Warzone 2’s higher TTK rate.

“The TTK so fast. You blink your eyes and you’re dead. I don’t like backpacks; It is stupid. There’s something like PUBG, H1Z1 going on.

Despite citing some concerns, he was impressed with the game’s movement, gunfights, and Al Mazrah’s appearance. Nick said he would continue to stream Warzone 2 through January and part of February as long as he likes the game.

Don’t expect Nick to become a full-time Warzone streamer again, though; as he said, as soon as it gets closer to ALGS Split 2, he will spend all his time playing Apex Legends.
