Plans for CES 2023 have been reconfirmed by NVIDIA. According to our knowledge, the event will mainly focus on GeForce RTX 40 mobile GPUs. This includes the RTX 4090, 4080, and 4070, as well as perhaps the mid-range series. Today, a leak confirmed the laptop’s GPU specs for the RTX 4080.
Additionally, NVIDIA unveils its desktop GeForce RTX 4070 Ti graphics card. It’s the same card that was discontinued along with the RTX 4080 12GB about two months ago. NVIDIA concluded that having two cards with the same product name but vastly different performance levels was significantly confusing to slow down and rename the GPU.
The mobile RTX 40 series is likely to be released in early January, just as laptop manufacturers are starting to showcase new laptop designs. When it comes to the desktop version of the 4070 Ti, this card is scheduled to go on sale on January 5, i.e. just two days after the “GeForce Beyond” event when the formal announcement was made. The new date for the event is Jan. 3 at 8 a.m. PT. The event can be seen by gamers through the official accounts on Twitch or YouTube.
Tune in January 3 at 8am PT for GeForce Beyond at CES 2023.
