Pokemon Go Sustainability Week 2022: Dates & Times, Oranguru, more

Pokemon Go has revealed its next event for the season of Alola: Sustainability Week. Here’s everything we know about it, from Oranguru’s debut to the event’s unique Timed Research twist.

Since its launch in 2016, Pokemon Go has provided trainers with a way to stay active while capturing their favorite fictional creatures right from their phone.

PoGo’s most recent quarterly theme is the Season of Alola, which has introduced a wide variety of “mon from the Alolan Dex.” Sustainability Week 2022 is no different as it debuts another brand new creature.

Pokemon Go Sustainability Week dates and times

Sustainability Week starts on Wednesday 20 April at 10 a.m and will end in Monday, April 25 at 8 p.m. local time.

This event will run through Earth Day 2022, which will take place on April 22.

The Season of Alola introduced Tapu Bulu, but the glossy version is not available.

Pokemon Go Sustainability Week Debuts

orangurus, the Sage Pokemon, will debut in-game when the event launches. And, Cherubim, the cherry ‘mon, will spawn in its rare shiny form – if you’re lucky. †

Pokemon Go Sustainability Week Collection Challenge and Bonuses

Like previous events, Sustainability Week presents players with a new collection challenge. If you complete it you will earn 1 Mossy Lure Module and 15 awesome balls.

Trainers will also receive bonuses during the event:

  • Mossy Lure Module in store
  • 2x Bonus XP for spinning new Pokestops

Timed Survey on Community Day

On Saturday, April 23, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. local time, Timed Research will be available for trainers. Each stage requires trainers to: adventure 1km to earn a meeting with Cherubi.

For every trainer who runs 3 miles during Community Day, Niantic plants up to 100,000 trees.

Sustainability week Wild Encounters, 7km Eggs, and Mossy Lure Module spawn

Following the trend of previous events, Sustainability Week is changing the available Wild encounters† Pokemon marked with an asterisk next to their name may spawn as their rare shiny form.

  • Cherubs*

  • Ferrous seed*
  • orangurus
  • Venusaur*
  • fantump

Pokemon Go will also change the egg pool for 7km gift eggs

Different Pokemon will be attracted to Mossy Decoy Modules when used:

  • Chikorita*
  • Grotle
  • Cherubs*

Encounters with field research tasks of the sustainability week

The following Pokemon appear after completing field research tasks during the week:

  • Turtwig*
  • Cherubs*
  • Snivy*
  • nonsense*
  • Chespin
  • fantump

Trainers can also earn Mega Venasaurus and Mega Abomasnow Energy by certain tasks.
