The Trophy listing for the Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time remake has gone live, suggesting a re-release is imminent.
Ubisoft originally revealed the remake during a September 2020 broadcast and promised a January 2021 release date.
After concerns about the poor visual quality swept the internet, Ubisoft chose to postpone the title. Prince of Persia has experienced three delays at the time of writing, the most recent of which was announced during pre-order issues.
In addition to announcing another delay in June, the publisher also confirmed that Ubisoft Montréal is now serving as lead developer. The teams from Pune and Mumbai were previously in charge of the project which no longer has a fixed deadline.
Prince of Persia Remake’s Trophy List Has Popped Up Online
The full list of trophies from Ubisoft’s Sands of Time remake has gone live on its tracking website, PSNProfiles.
According to the list, the return of the prince will bring a total of 25 trophies, including one platinum, seven gold, seven silver and 10 bronze. It seems that trophy hunters can expect a pretty basic platinum as well.
The fact that Prince of Persia’s trophies have surfaced suggests that the remake may be back in the spotlight sooner or later.
The Sands of Time Remake is still missing details about its release.
If so, this year’s Ubisoft Forward seems as good as any. The publisher is hosting its next games showcase on Saturday, September 10 at noon PT.
Beyond teasing previously unseen news and revelations, Ubisoft has yet to specify exactly what the digital event will entail.
Fans of the series can only hope that Prince of Persia takes center stage somehow, especially since it has been sitting on the sidelines for years.
