Sony’s PS Plus service is preparing new games for subscribers for August 2022, and we have the latest rumors about the new games, as well as our own PS4 and PS5 game predictions.

The revamped PS Plus setup is now well and truly in its stride, and the addition of free games to the service every month just continues.

July 2022 subscribers will be treated to the new detective cat thriller Stray, as well as Arcadegeddon, Crash Bandicoot 4 and The Dark Pictures: Man of Medan.

Reliable Dealabs leaker, billbil-kun, shared that Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 and 2, Yakuza: Like a Dragon, and Little nightmares will be free on PS Plus in August 2022 and Sony later confirmed it.

  • Trials of Mana

Later this year, fans can expect to see Yakuza 3, Yakuza 4, Yakuza 5 and Yakuza 6: The Song of Life.

When will PS Plus games for August 2022 be officially announced?

Usually the last Wednesday of every month is when we can expect the latest batch of PlayStation Plus Essential games to be announced, as should be the case for the August 2022 PS Plus games.

The official PlayStation blog is usually where you can find the games, and August’s games are likely to be unveiled on July 27 Bee 8:30 a.m. PST / 11:30 a.m. EST / 4:30 p.m. BST.

As soon as they are announced, new games are usually made available to play on the first Tuesday of the following month.

For Essential and Premium members, you’ll have to wait for a new PlayStation Blog post in August.

How to get PS Plus games for free

Getting the latest lineup of PS Plus games for free is a relatively simple task, and we’ve got a few simple instructions to help you out:

  1. Go to your PlayStation’s home screen.
  2. Go to the PlayStation Plus Symbol on the console’s media bar.
  3. Select which PS Plus games you want there download that are currently active.
  4. You can now play the newly added games from your ‘Library!
