Seagate Introduces New Collectible External Drives Inspired by the Star Wars Galaxy

Seagate is celebrating Star Wars Day today with the introduction of three collectible hard drives (HDDs), inspired by Boba Fett, Grogu and The Mandalorian. The latest additions to the company’s line of licensed special edition storage devices, released on the fans’ holiday, play on the popular Star Wars quote “May the Force be with you”, and bring a tangible piece of the galaxy into the hands of collectors and tech enthusiasts.

“We are excited to announce the latest release in our ongoing partnership with Lucasfilm, bringing three fresh and iconic designs to gamers and Star Wars fans,” said Jeff Fochtman, senior vice president of business and marketing at Seagate Technology. “From the designs to the functionality of the discs, this release brings a power to the battle stations of Star Wars enthusiasts.”

Part of the Star Wars Beskar Ingot Drives family, the Special Edition FireCuda external hard drives are available with three unique aesthetics that represent each legendary character: the cool demeanor of the legendary bounty hunter, Boba Fett, the cheerful look of Grogu, and the honorable and unshakable purpose of the Mandalorian. The drives feature customizable RGB LED lighting, and each design has a standard custom character light out of the box: a flashy red for Boba Fett, a glowing blue for Grogu, and a bold blue for the Mandalorian. With built-in and customizable lighting options, all three discs allow gamers and Star Wars enthusiasts to honor a galaxy far, far away at home.

With a capacity of 2 TB, the FireCuda external hard drives (HDD) work with PC, Mac, PlayStation and Xbox, allowing tech enthusiasts to collect and store media, files and games, regardless of operating system. Designed with USB 3.2 Gen 1 connectivity for universal compatibility and fast transfer speeds, and powered via USB bus, the lightweight drives are the perfect match for Star Wars fans looking for eye-catching storage on the go. The special edition drives include Seagate’s five-year limited warranty and three-year Rescue Data Recovery Services, so users have peace of mind whatever their adventures throw at them.

The new collectibles can be purchased today so fans can create their own complete Star Wars gaming system as they celebrate May 4th – Star Wars Day. Each drive is available for $109.99 (2 TB).
