Warzone content creator Metaphor has unveiled a simple audio tweak that gives Warzone 2 players the most accurate audio clues to pinpoint the locations of enemy players on PC.

Locating enemies through footsteps and other audio cues has been standard in FPS games for a while now.

Warzone 2 is no exception. The Battle Royale in Al Mazrah rewards those who use all the information about enemy players’ movements that they can get their hands on. Sound signals of them moving, looting and interacting with the environment are therefore of utmost importance.

We’ve already put together a list of in-game audio settings for Warzone 2 that will give you the edge over your enemies.

“A new audio setting has been discovered that makes your audio sound absolutely insane,” he said. “This will alert you when people are around no matter what.”

To enable this secret audio setting for Warzone 2 on PC, follow these steps:

  1. Right click on the speaker icon on your taskbar and go to “Sounds”.
  2. In the “Playback” tab, find the device with a green check mark (your default device).
  3. Right click on that device and go to “Properties”.
  4. Select the “Enhancements” tab.
  5. Make sure the “Loudness Equalization” setting is turned on.
  6. Click “OK” to confirm the settings.
  7. Go to Al Mazrah with the improved audio.
  8. To turn this setting off again, just follow the steps and deselect “Loudness Equalization”.

These settings allow you to determine the exact direction or location of opponents.

Metaphor did underline that this audio setting has some issues with height, so enemies can sometimes appear to be above or below you if they are on the same floor.
