Selling Apple Auction Items for Significant Figures

As part of the RR Auction’s “Apple, Jobs and Computer Hardware” event, an original and sealed iPhone recently sold for a whopping $35,000.

Apple Auction

It was the same auction where a prototype Apple-1 board, believed to have belonged to the late Apple CEO Steve Jobs, sold for $677k. There was also an old Apple check signed by Jobs, which fetched an astonishing $55k in a June auction.

Apple gear is a great value at auction events. Previously, a Pixar business card hand-annotated by Jobs cost $13k, while a note signed by Jobs sold for $124k. Other items include an unopened first-generation iPod that sold for $25k.

There has been a stir regarding the history of the said Apple-1 board that sold for $677k. However, its authenticity was guaranteed by the organizers as the one Jobs demonstrated to Paul Terrell, owner of The Byte Shop.
