The first gameplay video for the upcoming STALKER 2 game has been released by GSC Game World. The game will now officially release in December 2023 and pre-orders are now available. STALKER 2 is the planned fourth game in a long-running first-person shooter franchise for PC set in an alternate reality. The game is released 14 years after STALKER: Call of Pripyat, the third part of the series.
Originally slated to release in April this year, the game’s release date has been pushed back to December 8, 2023 due to the ongoing Russian invasion of Ukraine, where the game is being made. A 4K resolution of the gameplay video, including various combat elements and cutscenes, is now available.
STALKER 2 uses the most recent version of EPIC Games’ Unreal Engine 5 graphics engine. It will be available on the Epic Game Store and Steam at launch. It will also launch exclusively on the XBOX series for three months and will be added to the Game Pass library.
For PC gamers, developers recommend Radeon RX 5700 XT or GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER/GTX1080 Ti graphics cards. While these GPUs are listed as minimum requirements, they should be playable with Radeon RX 580 and GTX 1060 6GB.
