Swagg urges Warzone 2 to change “nervous” Gulag 2.0

Kris ‘FaZe Swagg’ Lamberson claims that Activision and Infinity Ward should roll back crucial changes to the Gulag in Warzone 2, as the new design compromises gameplay.

At the next CODNext event on September 15, several streamers got their hands on Modern Warfare 2 and its associated Battle Royale Warzone 2.

The highly anticipated shooter has grabbed Call of Duty players ahead of its November 16 release that comes with a new map, Al Mazrah.

While some of the changes have been welcomed with open arms, Kris “FaZe Swagg” Lamberson believes the developers should tackle divisive changes within Warzone 2’s new version of the Gulag.

Swagg on the Gulag from Warzone 2: “they should just return”

After playing Warzone 2 ahead of its November release, Swagg shared his “honest” thoughts on the upcoming game.

From the start, the Call of Duty Streamer was eager to tackle the new Gulag additions: “One of the problems I think they need to solve is the Gulag. So if you don’t know the Gulag, it’s a 2v2 and there is actually a way for people in the Gulag to escape.”

“They can just grab a key and escape, that’s what happened to me … personally I think that should be changed. I think they should just go back to the old Gulag,” the streamer continued.

“I like that they tried something different, but the Gulag was such a simple, understandably great concept that it just needed a good map.”

Swagg indicated that he feels the new version is “very RNG” because the “nervous” new version depends on whether “you get a really good teammate”.

“If you lose in this one, maybe it’s not your fault, it could just be because you have a bad teammate,” Swagg added.

“At first I liked the 2v2 aspect, but I thought if I have a bad teammate I’m confused.”

Swagg isn’t the only person to criticize the new Gulag either, as frustrated players have also expressed their displeasure with it. Whether the developers take this feedback into account remains to be seen.
