Social media company Twitter has announced that users can record short audio clips in Twitter Spaces to share with others outside the platform.
Participants in a room with live audio can create a clip to share and let other people listen to important or specific parts without having to join or listen to the entire broadcast. In a way, the short shot can serve as a highlight for others to watch.
The feature is expected to roll out after testing in March. Before audio clips from Twitter Spaces went live, only hosts could create these clips, but now it’s unlocked for all participants.
Beyond that, it’s only limited to the Twitter app on iOS and Android, but the company said it will be coming to web users in the future as well.
Twitter has been steadily expanding its Spaces, with Ticketed Spaces and recordings being the latest updates.
